CAROUSEL

Written by: Rodgers and Hammerstein II

Billy Bigelow is not your typical musical theatre hero. He’s a rough, young roustabout who learns some tough life lessons. It’s Maine in 1873 and this coastal town is filled with sailors, whalers, and women. Billy has lost his job, commits a crime, and in a twist of fate winds up dead, but is given a second chance at redemption.

This 1945 musical classic is set in a whimsical carnival world filled with romance, robbery, and intrigue. The brilliant and beautiful score features classics like If I Loved You, June Is Bustin’ Out All Over, and You’ll Never Walk Alone. Get your seats and who knows, maybe you’ll grab the brass ring.

It’s easy to understand why of all the shows they created, Carousel was Rodgers & Hammerstein’s personal favorite.
