OREGON CITY – Clackamas Repertory Theatre continues “Bar Theatre” at Oregon City Brewing Co. on April 9 at 5:30pm. This play reading of “Bakersfield Mist” by Stephen Sachs is directed by David Smith-English and features Clackamas Rep favorite Tobias Andersen and Randi Douglas. This new initiative was begun with the help of Jonathan Stone, Downtown Oregon City Association executive director, who wanted to bring theatre to downtown Oregon City. Craig Morrow of Oregon City Brewing Co. was immediately enthusiastic about the idea and will offer the first round of OCB beer free to ticket holders. “Bakersfield Mist” is a comedy/drama based on true events about Maude, a destitute denizen of a trailer park in Bakersfield, California, who is convinced she has found a Jackson Pollack painting worth millions. When Lionel Percy, a world-class art expert arrives to authenticate the painting, he has no idea what he is about to discover. A true battle of wits, this play received rave reviews in London, New York and Los Angeles.
“Bar Theatre” will be hosted in Oregon City Brewing Company’s private event space, The Barrel Room, located at 1401 Washington St. Parking is in the rear; doors open at 2:30pm.
Patrons may arrive early to eat and pre-order food for the event. Pre-ordered food to be served at 2:30pm, please wait until the show has concluded for any additional food orders. Admission is $15. Space is limited to 35 people. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
