Clackamas Repertory Theatre returns after 18-month hiatus with outdoor performances of Popcorn Falls

OREGON CITY, Ore. — Updated July 13, 2021— Clackamas Repertory Theatre returns for its 17th season with “Popcorn Falls,” a two-man farce by James Hindman. Performances will take place outdoors at the John Hakanson Amphitheatre on the Clackamas Community College (CCC) campus, Thurs. through Sun., July 15 – August 15. General admission tickets are $30 and may be purchased at www.ClackamasRep.org or by calling (503) 594-6047.

Directed by David Smith-English and featuring Mark Schwahn and Tom Walton, Clackamas Rep’s performances of “Popcorn Falls” will take place in the wonderful John Hakanson Amphitheatre, located in the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) just a quarter mile from the Osterman Theatre on the CCC campus. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy this zany comedy in the beauty of nature.

There is plenty of parking, but seating and restrooms are limited. The ELC is ADA compliant. John Hakanson Amphitheatre has four rows of seats on a slight rise and no stairs.

For the audience’s comfort, Clackamas Rep is providing seat cushions and has installed a shade canopy.

Masks are not required, but unvaccinated guests are asked to wear masks. All staff, crew, artists and volunteers are fully vaccinated.

There will be no concessions.

Performances are Thursday-Sunday at 7:00pm.

Tickets are $30 for general admission (no reserved seating) and are available online at www.clackamasrep.org or by calling the box office at 503-594-6047 between 1 and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets are limited to 60 per performance and will not be available for purchase at the door. The show runs approximately 90 minutes.

Friday performances, “Fundraiser Fridays,” will include a brief, pre-show fundraiser as an opportunity to help secure the future of Clackamas Rep. Friday patrons will be treated to a special Sound of Music preview (summer 2022) immediately after the show and will have a chance to win a prize.
