Synopsis

MUSICAL

DAMN YANKEES

Words and Music by Richard Alder and Jerry Ross
Book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop
Based on the novel by Douglass Wallop “The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant”
Directed by Karlyn Love

Faust meets professional baseball in this light, fast-paced and clever sendup of America’s favorite pastime. Joe Boyd is a middle-aged man who trades his soul to the Devil for a chance of a lifetime — to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. A Broadway mega hit and winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Damn Yankees is a wicked, romantic comedy with an irreverent sense of humor that knocks it out of the park.
