Kiss Me Kate builds a cheerfully farcical backstage plot around a second rate theatre company’s musical production of The Taming of The Shrew, starring two divorced, but still madly in love Broadway legends. Insert an ambitious dancer, her jealous boyfriend, a bit of blackmail and two bumbling gangsters and you have an evening of silly, frothy fun complete with crackling dance numbers and such tunes as Too Darn Hot, Another Op’nin’, Another Show, and Wunderbar.
