TAKING STEPS

Written by: Alan Ayckbourn

July 9-26, 2009

This frantic, British farce will leave you gasping for breath. The lunacy takes place in The Pines, a “haunted” decrepit mansion that Roland, a rich, bucket manufacturer is purchasing for his bride, a frustrated, retired dancer. Her goofy, dull-witted brother, his shiftless fiancée, a dithering, tongue-tied solicitor, and a devious realtor complete the cast. Well, unless you count the female ghost who is said to climb into bed with men. Hilarious complications unfold in the course of one evening and during the rude awakenings of its morning after denouement.

“For sheer, riotous entertainment, Taking Steps is unbeatable.”  —  The Stage
