Who’s that lady?! Meet the costume designer for Sense and Sensibility

Our cherished costume designer Alva Bradford is taking the summer off. She is retiring from her position at Clackamas Community College and wants to enjoy some well deserved vacation time. Don’t worry – she promises to return for our 2019 season!

In the meantime, we have found someone who can fill those very large shoes. Sydney Dufka Allen Forchielli is a regional costume designer working out of Portland, Oregon and Chicago, Illinois. Her roots spring from the Pacific Northwest rain forest. Most recently Sydney has designed for Oregon Children’s Theatre and assisted the costume chop manager at Portland Center Stage. Dedicated to innovative storytelling and collaborative design, Sydney provides a unique voice for the director and team. Sydney holds a bachelor of fine arts in costume design from The Theatre Conservatory at DePaul University.

These are some images of costumes she designed for DePaul University for the production of Symphony of Clouds by Margret Larlham and directed by Ann Wakefield. We can’t wait to see what she creates for CRT’s season opener Sense and Sensibility.
